I went to lunch this afternoon with Rich Johnson, Mike Neff, Zack Fuller, and Robert Cannon at Fuddruckers on 71st. This is one of mine and Sydnie’s favorite places to eat. We found it on our honeymoon in Austin and ate there several times that week. Today I had a bacon and pepper-jack burger with steak fries. So tasty. Go eat there ASAP.
Zack’s dad, Rusty, is pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Ada. God is doing some amazing things in Ada at Trinity Baptist Church and it is exciting to hear from Zack about what is happening there. I played at Club Alternative, a place for college students to feel comfortable and get introduced to their church, last year and had a blast. An incredible ministry.
After church every Sunday we go over to the home of one the members of our small group and eat. Yesterday we went over to the Lusk home and ate like kings. I always eat too much when we go over to their house. I love the fact that we eat together as a group and that we eat in someone’s house versus going to eat at a restaurant. I got to thinking about this last year. We wonder why some people don’t go to church on Sunday, but we expect them to be ready to seat me for lunch. Would more people be going to church if we simply at at home on Sunday. I know that we have had several students in our ministry drop out because they start working and can’t get off on Sunday. What are your thoughts on this?
Went to the Redbox today and picked up three movies. Syd is out shopping and I am enjoying the day at home. Steaks are marinating and my tummy is rumbly.
My wife and I are getting into the losing spirit. We have been watching the Biggest Loser on NBC. I think that Syd has set a weight loss goal for me. We went shopping last night after our small group. We came home with lots of vegetables, Crystal Light, and lots of fruit. I did get some fat free ice cream though.
I think that I have really big bones. I weigh as much as some of the contestants on this season’s show, but Syd and I are in agreement that my body doesn’t look anything like these guys on the show. I think it must be my heart of gold that is weighing me down. Ha Ha Ha.
Tonight I had whole-grain bow tie pasta with peas, corn, and onions. Yummy. Syd wants me to tell everybody that she made it.
Do you watch The Biggest Loser? Do you have any fitness goals?
